When Dee and Ciaran began planning their wedding, they dreamed of a day that blended timeless romance with effortless elegance  something intimate, meaningful, and undeniably magical. Their vision came to life at Waterford Castle, a breathtaking venue set on its own private island in Ireland’s southeast. Accessible only by ferry, it offered the sense of escape and wonder they had always imagined  a world away, yet beautifully close to home.

Waterford Castle is a place where history whispers through every stone and ivy-covered wall. Nestled on the River Suir and surrounded by ancient woodland, the castle provided a setting that was both grand and deeply personal. As guests crossed the short ferry journey onto the island, excitement filled the air  a feeling of stepping into a fairytale where love and laughter would unfold among centuries-old charm.

Morning Moments & Bridal Elegance

​

Dee’s wedding morning began in one of the castle’s elegant suites, where joy and anticipation filled the room. With her closest friends by her side, she prepared for the day ahead while Vaiva Beauty (@vaivabeauty) worked her magic  creating a radiant, natural look that reflected Dee’s calm and confident beauty. Her gown by Prea James Bridal (@preajames_bridal) was the definition of understated sophistication: soft, modern lines paired with a romantic silhouette that moved effortlessly with her every step.

Every precious detail  from quiet laughter to the final touches before walking down the aisle was beautifully captured by Nick O’Keeffe Photography (@nickokeeffephotography), whose eye for emotion and light told the story in timeless style.

A Ceremony of Love & Light

​

The ceremony took place within the enchanting setting of Waterford Castle itself  an intimate, candlelit space where music and emotion intertwined. The atmosphere was serene and full of heart as Susha Sounds (@sushasounds) performed live, filling the room with soulful melodies that perfectly framed each heartfelt vow. When Dee and Ciaran said “I do,” surrounded by family and friends, it felt like time stood still  a moment suspended in beauty and meaning.

Magic, Music & Celebration

​

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a reception filled with warmth, laughter, and a touch of wonder. Jamie Skelton (@dublinmagician), also known as The Dublin Magician, charmed everyone with his close-up magic and charismatic hosting. As the day flowed into evening, Havana Club Trio (@the.havana.trio) provided the perfect soundtrack to dinner smooth, soulful, and full of joy.

The castle’s dining room glowed in candlelight as guests toasted the newlyweds, dined on exquisite cuisine, and shared stories that filled the air with happiness. Every detail  from the decor to the music reflected Dee and Ciaran’s refined yet relaxed style.

 

An Unforgettable Night

As night fell, the celebrations truly began. The Kickbacks (@thekickbacksband) took to the stage, igniting the dance floor with energy and rhythm that had guests on their feet from the first note. Between songs, the 360 Booth Ireland (@360boothireland) added a playful twist, capturing laughter and dance moves in immersive, one-of-a-kind videos that guests couldn’t get enough of.

To close the night, DJ Dave Daly of DD Entertainment (@d_d_entertainment) kept the party alive well into the early hours  spinning tunes that had every generation dancing beneath the castle’s glowing chandeliers.

As the celebrations drew to a close, Dee and Ciaran stole a quiet moment together beneath the stars. The castle stood illuminated behind them, its reflection shimmering on the still waters of the River Suir  a breathtaking reminder of the magical day they had shared.

Their wedding at Waterford Castle was more than just a celebration  it was a story of love, joy, and connection told in the most romantic setting imaginable. Every moment was crafted with care, every detail captured with artistry, and every memory destined to last a lifetime.
